New Bulgarian association - IANA (International Academy for Non-Traditional Arts), was established on March 8 in Denia. The event under the moto "Together in Denia! Unity is force!" was accompanied by the opening of exhibition of the artist Ivo Simeonov, known with the alias Gal Grabby, and by celebrations for the Women's Day - good occasions for our fellow-countrymen to gather together in the Mediterranean town.
In the Denia Hotel-Restaurant the artist showed a collection of paintings already shown in Bulgaria, Turkey, the Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia, Poland and other EU countries. On his suggestion every lady - guest of the hotel received as a gift a painting and a small statue.
"Everything was different and filled with excitement, nostalgia, joy and tears for Bulgaria. In Denia, Alicante the Bulgarians are thirsty for art and Bulgarian festivities. It's interesting that they are together not only in the dances but also in their everyday life, the help each other and share their ideas. It turned out that he hotel-restaurant has turned into a Bulgarian home, cultural centre, original information institute, where everyone can find the answers to his questions, to seek help and support", Gal Grabby, chairman of the association, stated for Nova Duma.
The main purposes of the association written down in a special statute are enrichment of knowledge and increase in the level of culture, art and artistic potential of the association's members and the community, as well as support and sponsorship for artists from different nationalities and spheres of arts for their integration in the professional artistic world of unified Europe and worldwide.
IANA Association will also investigate the opportunities for realization of international cultural programs and projects. There are plans for organizing seminars, courses, conferences, symposiums, exhibitions and concerts.
"We work on international level and we are open towards everyone regardless of nationality, because we are true Europeans. But we also do everything to save the Bulgarian manner, culture and identity", added Gal Grabby.
For nearly a week the IANA Association in Denia has already enlisted 45 members and the chairman pointed out that the people willing to participate are increasing every day.
